Sensory Suits is a tactile deck of playing cards, designed for individuals who are visually impaired and was featured in the 2024 MADA NOW exhibition. Operating in the same way as a traditional card deck, the four suits have been updated to rods (brown), shells (purple), scales (green) and jaws (blue). Derived from the card game ‘Go Fish’, the aquatic theme allows players to rely on the feel of the card to determine the suit and number. For this project, I was determined to create cards that could unite individuals with low or no vision and high vision, to be able to enjoy card games together and in a multi-sensory way.
